Chapter One
A first silk is rarely the loudest one. It's the saree that gets pulled from the shelf at twenty-five, then again at forty-five, then handed down. The four pieces here are chosen to be that — quiet, well-made, weave-true.
Chapter Two
Purple reads as serious in a way reds and pinks rarely do at this price point. Banarasi houses have always done purple beautifully, and these four — three from the same workshop in Varanasi — carry a generation of that practice.
