Every saree we ship to the United Kingdom comes from one of our 35 named weaver families in Dharmavaram, Kanchipuram and the surrounding villages. No middlemen, no Surat re-sellers — only silk curated by Jaya and vetted by her father, who has spent 55 years on the loom floor.
Each saree carries the Silk Mark label issued by the Central Silk Board of India, and our handloom pieces carry the Handloom Mark. For a British-Indian buyer ordering from afar, that certification is your assurance that what arrives is pure, handwoven silk — never a power-loom imitation.

We ship to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland via tracked international courier. Most orders to London, Leicester, Birmingham, Manchester and beyond arrive within 6 to 10 business days of dispatch, with full tracking from our atelier to your door.
Every parcel is insured for its full value and shipped with end-to-end tracking. You will receive your tracking number by email the moment your saree leaves us, presented in its rigid keepsake box and acid-free silk tissue.
For weddings and festivals, order with a comfortable margin — we recommend three to four weeks ahead. If your function is sooner, speak to Jaya and we will advise honestly on what is achievable and offer expedited dispatch where possible.
Import VAT and any duty, if applicable, are the buyer's responsibility and are assessed by HM Revenue & Customs at the point of entry. Typical thresholds and rates vary by category and change over time, so we cannot promise a specific outcome for your parcel.
We declare every shipment honestly and accurately. We do not under-declare value, as that exposes you to penalties and can void insurance.

The British climate is humid for much of the year, and silk stored sealed in plastic can develop mildew or musty odours. Keep your saree in the breathable muslin dust bag we provide, in a well-aired cupboard away from radiators and direct light, and refold it along a fresh line every few months.
Air the saree occasionally on a dry day. For cleaning, use a dry cleaner experienced with fine Indian silk and gold zari rather than a high-street service unfamiliar with handloom fabric.
