Packaging is critical when shipping silk internationally. Every NYSA SILK saree is folded with acid-free tissue paper between layers to prevent colour transfer and creasing. The saree is then placed in a muslin dust bag, followed by a rigid corrugated box to protect against compression during transit. For orders over a certain value, we use tamper-evident packaging with tracking at every stage. We strongly advise against vacuum-sealing silk for international shipment — while it saves space, the compression can permanently crease the zari work and flatten the texture of the weave.
